ENCRYPT partners got together for the 2nd Plenary meeting of the project, which took place in a hybrid form on 30-31 May 2023. The physical part of the event was kindly hosted by ECNRYPT’s Technical Coordinator TRUSTUP, at Procida, Italy.
As we are reaching the end of the first year of the project, the discussions were focused on the finalisation of User Requirements, in addition to the finalisation of the functional and non-functional requirements for the Privacy Preserving and for the Privacy Supporting tools, completing the ENCRYPT architecture. Interesting presentations and fruitful conversations between all technical partners, in addition to the presentations from the Use Case partners on AS-IS and TO-BE scenarios, made clear the final design, paving the way to the implementation of the first round of prototypes.
Following the Plenary Meeting, ENCRYPT partners participated in a clustering event, with Horizon Europe projects, on June 1st, in the form of a hybrid workshop. The event, assembled ENCRYPT with five outstanding projects in the field of technology and innovation: CROSSCON, CERTIFY, AI4CYBER, TRUSTEE, and KINAITICS, all of them presenting great potential for establishment of synergies for the deployment of common technology validation scenarios through common testbeds and combined use cases.
The clustering event had two parts. During the morning session, all projects were showcased, including an overview of their vision, objectives, technologies, use cases and commonalities with the other workshop projects. This fed the afternoon session, where projects’ representatives had fruitful discussions on joint actions, like participation in, and organisation of, joint activities and events (i.e., hackathons, webinars, etc.) and drafting of joint white papers, among others.
